Autumn is here...it's cooling down and I caught a cold! I keep sneezing and blowing my nose. So I needed to remember the heat of Jordan. More pictures of Petra to come....soon.

After Um Qeis we went East to the Desert Castles via Umm el-Jamal. Umm el-Jammal looks like a dead city. Everything is in basalt which allowed a good preserving of the remains despite the fact the city was destroyed by an earthquake. We spent 4 hours on this site, alone, with our guide book, trying to guess what was what!
Our next stop was in Pella, a mostly Byzantine site near the border with Israel. The remains themselves aren't that extraordinary but the natural site was beautiful.

After Amman we hit the road to visit the whole country...In 3 weeks we must have seen almost every sites and reserves of Jordan!
Basically we first went North, but our first stop was in Iraq..............el-Amir
