After Amman we hit the road to visit the whole country...In 3 weeks we must have seen almost every sites and reserves of Jordan!

Basically we first went North, but our first stop was in Iraq..............el-Amir

Iraq el-Amir, or Qasr el-Abd, is a small castle, built in 2nd Century BC,  famous for its Lion....

....not for that woman even though she's a Leo!

Obviously I didn't take that picture...and for once my friend didn't screw up...probably because I gave him the directions. Eventually I almost look like myself on that photo. So for those of you who had never seen me well...hi!

After Iraq we went to Jerash (Gesara) that is probably the most beautiful site of Jordan behind Petra.

Before the Romans took it over, Jerash was one of the cities that made the Decapolis. The remains are absolutely awesome.

Now let's enter the Macellum

Yes I know that woman is there again....

I didn't mean to show such cleavage, but I had already a sunburn on my back and I tried to protect the skin under the nape of my neck!

Now back on the cardo maximus

The Propylaea...

...and here's 3 columns of  Artemis' Temple

Are you bored yet?

More tomorrow...I don't want to cause indigestion!

I took about 60 pictures with my 2 cameras in Jerash only...and in Petra it was 2 films per day...

I'll give my take on Jordan and the region through the posts. Some things are amazing, some things are intriguing, some things are shocking.

Now I want to go to Syria. Everybody says that the sites are much more beautiful and unique.

Thank you. It helps to make good pictures when the site is great, but I guess I am not a bad photographer. ;- ) I like to find the best angle and the best composition to make the best photograph.

Wow, amazing pictures. Jerash remains are magnificent (I especially liked this shoot for some reason).

Girl, you look like Roman courtesan. IoI Love the cleavage!

Which shoot?

A Roman courtesan? Is there also a centurion named Spike on your mind? *winks*

As for the cleavage, I think the position actually makes my boobies look bigger!

The third one from the top, with the beautiful landscape behind it.
IoI Do not take the name of Spike in vain!

Like the boobies. Bigger or not, at least they are not fake (as I previously suspected). *runs and hides*

Those were so beautiful! As were you, from your very nice eyebrows to your pretty painted toenails. And of course your boobies! Hee.

Really amazing shots - thank you for sharing them. Any signs of trouble or unrest on your trip?

Wait to see me in bikini and covered in mud by the Dead Sea(remind me to friend-locked that post btw)!

Many checkpoints and sometimes things that were shocking but no troubles...I've been sick the last day in the Wadi Rum on Monday before getting back to Amman and that was so not fun since it was 48°C over there, but I'm okay now.

Happy to be at home!

Ah my sweet! Thanks for sharing (more please!). I am always in awe of what people accomplished without the trappings of modern technology. You are living my dream, honey, thanks for letting me come along virtually! (Yes, wanted to major in archeology until I realized nasty bugs and such were part and parcel of the field work *g*)...Social Anthropology is more bug free and friendly...

Look forward to more.

Love,
Kathleen
So glad you are home

Beautiful pics, Chani.

You look very much like Rachel Griffiths (Brenda on "Six Feet Under") in your photos.
Pretty!

I'm happy to know you had a good time.

Incredible pictures. As a kinda amateurish archaeology lover I'm insanely jealous. :-)

And hey, now I know what you look like!

It's all so pretty....

...I'm officially jealous of you, auntie :P

And I can add those to my steadily growing collection of pics of you... Maybe soon I can have a shrine!

Two of my favorite things...
