I'm having a break from Marking Hell to sip my Japanese tea (Flowers of Geisha)...
Yesterday evening the César awards (the French Oscars) have been presented. Of course I hadn't seen the movie that won most of the awards (8 Césars !) De Battre Mon Coeur S'est Arrêté (Best movie, best director, best actor in a supporting role, best female hope aka the most promising actress), but among the films I reviewed on this LJ, Nathalie Baye won the César of best actress in a leading role for Le Petit Lieutenant, which was deserved really, and Le Cauchemard de Darwin (Darwin's Nightmare) won the award of best First Film.

comava will be happy to know that Louis Garrel won the award of the Male Hope !
Oh and before I forgot. The last episode of Battlestar Galactica was simply brilliant! 2x14, 2X15 and 2X16 were average, 2X17 was good, but Downladed did rock! It's one of the best episodes of season 2 and the first-rate writing definitely puts the series on the top of my list ahead any other show that is currently running.
I just love Sharon, Six and Baltar, and Helo!
