It is unfair !

I bought Serenity DVD yesterday and I was planning to watch it this evening. And guess what? My DVD player chose just today to die!
I can't play Serenity, I can't get past the menu actually...It either goes forward in "search mode" or skips tracks or takes me back to the beginning like the machine is possessed or something.
I tried with another DVD and it's the same bug going over and over.
I'm upset.
ETA: Oh this is getting worse, because I tried with The 25th hour and that DVD plays perfecly ! No skipping, no backwarding, no mistracking...I'm cursed ! Why does it go wonky with certain DVDs and not with others?

Date: 2006-04-28 09:55 pm (UTC)Some hairs were sacrified indeed, but it seems to work now...As I said in my following entry, I got to see the entire movie. I hope I'll be able to rewatch it later!
It's like it needed a bit of warm-up...Can a DVD player get rusty for not playing enough?
