I've just watched the season finale of Battlestar Galactica. I guess I need a new addiction now.

On the other hand, Veronica Mars has begun on French cable, unfortunately it's a French dubbed version but it may fill the void for a while.

To be honest I don't think that episode was as good as Downloaded...I even got annoyed a bit when obviously expected things happened like the priest turning out to be a Cylon, or Adama preventing Rosling from stealing the election, or Gina committing suicide and mass murder with Baltar's nuclear gift. BTW his orgasms kept costing a lot to mankid ! it gives a new meaning to blow job!

It kinda called to mind the mini series and how Caprica got attacked after he had sex with Six. We were back to beginning (with Adama wearing a moustache again !) and at the same time of course we were not.

The "One Year Later" skip was a good idea and a beautiful twist. Once again the "humans" made their bed (the reason why the Cylons found them was a nice finale touch to point it out) and must lie on it...
The family is separated again after the fleet jumped away. Not only the human family but also the Adama/Starbuck/Tight/Roslin family and of course the Shalo(Sharon/Helo)/Baby family!

And those evil writers had to tease me with a 4 seconds fuzzy Leoben (whom I still call in my mind "the Cylon covered in sexy wounds") and a 4 seconds Helo who's still on the Galactica (which means that Sharon is still there too)!

Bugger !

I finally caught an episode of Vernica Mars - about the 6th one in the first series they are repeating over here. It was OK, not that impressed so far, but I think I'll stick with it to see how it develops.

There's a lot of talk on Lj about the finale of BSG. Glad you're enjoying it.

I just saw the episode - loved it. :-)

I thought the scene with the two Brother Cavil's in their cells talking with Adama and Roslin was great, if only for the start of the scene where one of them is being dragged in protesting "I'm not a Cylon! (notices other Cavil.) Oh."

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out... it looks like the Cylons who are occupying New Caprica are followers of the War Heroes, but perhaps there's been a split in Cylon society? I can't imagine any Biers models following them. I think the War Heroes might want to set up a Farm on the planet; that's the only motive I can think of for them. Maybe they'll even help the Colonials settle the planet in exchange for people participating in the breeding programmes...?

I loved all the catch-up dialogue after the one year jump. And Tigh and Starbuck hugging and being happy to see each other. *smirk* A lot happens in a year, obviously!

The Adama Moustache has to go though. :-)

I agree about the moustache and Dean Stockwell scene with his "brother", and yes there was probably a split in the Cylons society or there will be...

I am not sure that a lot happened in that year though. As for Tigh and Starbuck, it isn't that surprising actually, deep down they liked each other!

But where is Tom Zarek? It's interesting that it's Gaeta who's working with Baltar.

I felt quite sorry for Gaeta - back in Season One he totally hero-worshipped Baltar. Presumably that's why he wanted the job as his assistant...

Then after a year of watching him sleazing around with whores and being an evil dictator, it seemed like he'd become pretty disillusioned! :-p

And yes, I think it's very interesting that Zarek wasn't there - I would've thought he would end up as Baltar's Vice President. Maybe there was some kind of dispute between them...?

I'm hoping Caprica-Sharon is still alive on Galactica though - I'm guessing that's why Helo stayed aboard the ship. It'll be interesting to see how their relationship is now, considering that she pretty much betrayed the whole fleet by not warning them that Cavil was a Cylon.

Helo said he wouldn't give up. And I trust him. I have a soft spot for Helo. :- )

Sharon is so overwelmed with grief. I wonder if NewCap!Boomer wil be able to feel her sister's distress and what is going to happen to Callie's baby...
