Answers to my own poll
How pathetic is that?
1) Your least favourite season? Why?
S1. The writing got better later IMO. There are some episodes that are weak. The characters were not quite established yet.
2) Your least favourite episode? Why?
I think it's a tie between "Bad Eggs" and "Amends"..."Bad Eggs" probably. The whole thing was just so kitsch and lame. I can't find anything good in it, except maybe the Gorch Brothers.
3) Your least favourite finale? Why?
That's a hard one. None is really bad but some are better than others. "Graduation Day II", "Chosen" and "Grave" are the weakest for me. I'll pick "Grave", despite some good moments. It looked botched-up, everything seemed too easy and abruptly thrust upon us.
4) Your least favourite beginning? Why?
Buffy vs Dracula...despite a great ending scene. I think it was a mistake to bring that Myth in, to touch it...and actually to spoil it. I've always been into twisting clichés, but Dracula isn't a cliché, it's a monument.
5) Your least favourite moment? Why?
Buffy and Angel in "Amends" (and before that in the episode when she said she wanted to die when he kissed her...bad acting!). It's so sappy and looks like a schmaltzy novel. I liked them in season 1, I like the angst when Angelus showed up, or later in "Beauty and The Beasts", but I can't stand Bangel moments that make the characters weak or alienate them. Angel moving to his own show saved both characters.
6) Your least favourite main character? Why?
It's very hard, because they all grew on me...Anya was my least fav for a long time, too caricatured, but they fleshed her out eventually. I liked her in S6-7, not before.
7) Your least favourite minor character? Why?
Jonathan. He didn't grow up, he kept doing the same mistakes.
8) Your least favourite BB? Why?
For along time I didn't like Glory, but I learnt to like the idea of Glory. I think it's The Master. BB got more sophisticated afterwards. The Master looks like a good pun which I enjoy, but it isn't enough to make a good BB.
9)Your least favourite Villain (aka little bad)? Why?
Maggie Walsh. Just because I couldn't find any other one, and she was mean to Giles!
10) Your least favourite monster of the week? Why?
That snake monster from "Reptile Boy". I don't even remember its name! Just cheap.
11) Your least favourite pairing (one that actually occured on screen)? Why?
Oz/Veruca because it made Willow cry...I know it was just a one night-stand but still!
Ok, ok Willow/Kennedy. Do I need to say why? It was so artificial. Just because they needed one of the Scoobies to have a successful relationship! I would have understood a fling, but I couldn't buy that relationship.
12) Your least favourite 'ship (one that didn't occur but some fans would believe in it)? Why?
It's either Giles/Buffy or Spike/Xander. Probably Giles/Buffy because he's her surrogate father and there's nothing we saw on screen to back up that one!
13) Your least favourite arc? Why?
The Key arc in S 5. I liked the idea of the new sister and the fake memories but not the Key buisness (the green energy, Glory wanting to find it, the kights of what-d'-you-call-them, Buffy as a substitute to close the portal), not very good writing.
14) Your least favourite death? Why?
Spike's death. Too over the top and it just didn't work since we knew he was moving to Ats. As everything in the second half of s7 , it was botched up.

I'm going to answer it, but I'm in Hawaii this week for work and there's just no time for anything other than quick a read through of the f list. I want to play, but I want to put it in my own journal. Might be early next week though.
