I turned the telly on

and there was The Dark Age. I almost came upon Ethan (hehe if only!).
Neat, innit?
Every time I see Angel entering the room while Jenny/Eyghon is trying to take Giles, I wanna say "Go Angel go!".
It was a very important episode, not only because it revealed Giles' dark past but also because it foreshadowed the rest of season 2.
Because after all young Giles did with Ethan (for orgies according to Willow, so sex was probably involved) what Buffy was going to do with Angel in "Surprise": releasing a demon, a monster!
So Giles couldn't be mad at Buffy after the Angel fiasco and its consequences, he knew better, he was there, done that, got the t-shirt. And in a way it makes sense that Jenny was Angelus' victim. Payback was a bitch to Giles.
By the way did I mention how sexy ASH was in The Dark Age?
Of course it's also very ironical because it's Angelus who saved Jenny in The Dark Age, overcoming Eyghon within Angel's body. But it was only a short respite...Jenny was doomed to die from *that* demon Angel hosted, the name of the demon only changed from Eyghon to Angelus.
Also there's that line from Buffy at the end of the eppy, that takes a new meaning when you know Angel's journey:
Angel: I've had a demon inside me for a couple hundred
years...just waitin' for a good fight.
Buffy: Winner and still champion.
Champion still...
