It's good to be bad

If I were a good girl I would have marked some papers today...instead I watched 3 episodes of The Shield (the 2 last eppys of season 2 and the first one of seaosn 3), the last Lost and James' scenes on Smallville!
But hey could have been worse...I can't get the 8th episode of Nip/Tuck. I tried several sites to grab a working torrent but nothing, nada, wallou, rien de rien!
I really like The Shield. I guess it wouldn't be everybody's cup of tea because of the violence and general murkiness, but I was an OZ fan and there must be something very dark inside of me because I love crime novels, especially when very twisted. The characters have grown on me, all of them, even Shane, and oddly enough I like Aceveda as much as I like Vic or Claudette, or Dutch. The series manages to make you care about them despite all their flaws and the mistakes they make and at the end of the day you can't really side with anyone, even if sometimes you want to slap a character in the face for being so wicked.
So Aceveda, who was quite nice at the end of season 2, won the elections and is going to keep his job as captain for 6 months...and you realized that nothing really changed. They are all stuck and haven't really learnt anything yet. But I bet it's the calm lull before the storm.
I was spoiled for weeks so I knew Shannon would gonna die. I'll miss her. She and Sun were my favourite female characters. But her death makes sense. Sayid had to be helpless, unable to protect a woman he loved...his biggest nightmare came true again.
And Shannon couldn't go on without Boone, she never could. I didn't expect her being killed by Ana-Lucia though, yet it makes sense too. There was a bitch-place to take after all.The presence of a shrink is also very interesting. She should know better but she might be as clueless as everybody about what's going on and I can't wait to see her talk to Locke!
Sayid saw Walt too which is goes with my theory of collective projections.
Any episode without Jack and Kate is kind of good...but we got aglimpse of Jack when Shannon and her step-mother were at the hospital. BTW her dad died from the same accident that got Jack's future wife injured, and Jack made a choice then. Connections, connections...
I liked the Claire/Locke scene and Charlie is getting on my nerves.
Jin is still very pretty and very nice and Sawyer was beautiful on Michael's lap.
I tried to watch the whole episode, really, and I grant you that the writing and the acting sucked less than in the previous ones, but it just didn't hold my interest. James was fine but compared to Spike his character is flat, even though the episode could have called "The Yoko Factor" to mind. Everything is so predictable. Clark is really too naive and the girl with big eyes should be the alien IMO. The only interesting characters of that show seems to be Lex Luthor actually.
I miss Spike. Spike was bigger than life. James is so small on screen without Spike.
I wanna see Nip/Tuck damnit!

BTW I started a thread about torture, or rather about Buffy torturing that vampire with her cross in "When She Was Bad", on the C&S and it turned out into a big thread.
Chani *giving in temptation*
