Ryan O'Reilly was on Rescue Me !!!!!!!! I mean Dean Winters who played Ryan in OZ...he plays John Gavin, Tommy's brother. Oh and I think that Jimmy, Tommy's dead cousin kinda looks like Clint Eastwood when he was younger. Pretty men!

I think I'm going to love that show! And there are very funny moments in the middle of the darkness like the guys trying to explain what a metrosexual is or Sean feeling itchy after having waxed his scrotum...

And the cherry on the top, at one moment the score played TOM MCRAE!!!!!

My Tom! It was Stronger Than Dirt, from his second album.

 

I tell you, that show rocks!

It does indeed rock.

In season two the actor that played Tobias Beecher (Lee Tergeson)on Oz makes a couple of appearances and you won't believe what kind of wackiness ensues.

Keep tuning in, really. I think you're this is one show you're going to be very enthusiastic about.

Can't comment on Rescue Me as I've never seen it, but on a related note: Did you know that Scott William Winters (who played Cyril O'Reily on OZ) is in the Angel episode with the demon fight club?

No I didn't, but you know me, I didn't realize that Jin from Lost was Gavin in Angel until season 2!

I'm sure you'd like "Rescue Me". It's aired on the same network as "The Shield" and there's something that reminds me of OZ too (and it isn't only Dean Winters!). All those shows are very strong, intense, showing characters not necessarily in a favourable light, not as heroes but as flawed and complicated people, but humanity is always there.
