Both Game of Thrones and The Borgias provided their best episode to last on Sunday, and The Killing has never been that good since the pilot!

No, I don't think it's my view or mood that have changed, the three shows were really much better this week, especially The Borgias.

For the first time the writing of The Borgias was really refined and sophisticated (thanks to the Greeks, the Latin and the use of metaphors and parallels in the structure of the episode!); Game of Thrones made its characters real and moving and took care of the transitions between scenes, and The Killing has found back its groove, providing an engrossing episode that had me on the edge of the seat, paying hommage to Six Feet Under at the beginning of the episode and building up the tension.

I'm pretty sure that Bennet didn't do it, and I am not sure that his wife is guilty either even though she looks quite guilty now. And now we've got Terry, Mitch's sister who seems to have had an affair with Jasper's father, and the mob storyline is slowly unfolding.

Holder is intriguing as ever, and I 'm beginning to wonder if he isn't undercover and investigating on Sarah Linden whose past hasn't be revealed yet but the show keeps hinting at something big! It was fun to see him meeting up with Agent Durham from Caprica (the actor is in ALL the series that are filmed in Vancouver!) and I bet that this mysterious bald man was his boss even though it was ambiguous and one could think that he is his sponsor like in the A.A thing since Holder's speech and behaviour might mean he is a recovering drug addict. The "I feel like I'm two people" line could point to his undercover mission as well as his possible addiction.

As for Darren he seems nicer than ever, refusing to ruin Bennet's life and keeping true to his principles, so he might be the killer at the end of the day!

Or not.

Aside from the mystery, the episode had nice creepy touches, like the mortician preparing Rosie's body and putting fake finger nails on, or the way the kids behaved at their sister's funeral. Those kids are great! Or Terry helping Mitch to dress (and for the first time I realised how much the tow actresses look alike) and later being mean to Stan's assistant pointing out that he wasn't part of this family, or Stan lifting those big boxes, showing up the muscles...a good way to remind us that there was a reason he used to work for that gangster!
And I'm so excited about the season finale of Justified tomorrow! Timothy Olyphant was so good in the previous episode.
