I have a dream
Oct. 10th, 2005 09:24 pmHere's a fantasy of mine:
Joss Whedon meets Dan Simmons and I'm a mouse listening to their conversation!
I mean those two would have lots to say to each other!
For instance I'd like to hear Joss' reaction to this:
Ideas are paramount in SF, but never--one prays--at the expense of the characters, the prose, or the fact that describing the human heart in conflict with itself is still the only reason for the tale to be told. (Even when the human heart in question might not be human--see my Ilium and Olympos moravecs Mahnmut and Orphu of Io for explication on this point.)
To understand better read the whole interview
I loved Ilium (and Hyperion Cantos and Carrion Comfort) and now I must buy Olympos!
