Checking in before leaving

I'm off to Brittany tomorrow morning for five days, I don't know exactly when we will drive back on Monday, and then school is starting again so this may be my last post for a while.

I've seen the premiere of Dexter (yes it has leaked!) and the latest True Blood (not  a masterpiece for sure but a lot of fun). We're close to the season finale, but fortunately there's the new season of Dexter and Dollhouse to be aired very soon. I mostly rely on streaming sites now for I can no longer play the videos that are saved on my computer (must be the driver because the bug happens with every software I try) so downloading is useless. :-(
Anyway the DVD box of BSG 4th season should be released at the end of September.

Also I'm becoming quite obsessed with Caprica. I guess it's both Bear's music(I'm currently in love with the track   "A Tauron Sacrifice") and  the Eric Stoltz Daniel Graystone effect....




Something struck me during the second viewage but I wasn't sure so I re-watched Blade Runner for the 3333333th time and...bingo!!!!
The heavy glasses that the defence minister wears in Caprica are the same as Tyrell's in Blade Runner. I love little details like that. The pilot of BSG was already filled with references to Blade Runner and they did it again with Caprica. It makes me happy.

You've probably already tried it, but I thought I'd let you know anyway - if you're having trouble playing video files, try VLC player. You can download it for free and it'll usually play just about anything.

Dexter premiere was interesting, wasn't it? Won't say any more, don't want to spoil people!

Yes I've already tried it but the PC crashed with VLC too. *sigh*

I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue. I had to get my computer fixed when I came back from Italy (they changed the supply) and now I have that video playing problem. I guess I'll have to buy another computer for Christmas, perhaps a laptop.

As for Dexter, I like how they revisited the credits during the episode. ;- )

I'm back and exhausted. The weather was not good. Actually I was cold every evening during the festival Fisel(concerts and dances). It felt like November!

I'm glad to be in my much-less-wet-and-much-hotter Paris now, but not very happy about going back to school tomorrow morning. :-(

Oh what a shame that the weather was bad.

The weather here is showing that we are near to Autumn because in the morning and evening once the sun has set it's quite cold! Very hot today in the sunshine though which was nice :)

I liked the pilot very much as well. And the music fits the atmosphere perfectly. Cela me donne envie de ré-essayer de goûter à la série BSG. J'avais vu deux épisodes et je n'avais pas accroché , mais je vais télécharger la saison 1 à nouveau, même si ce n'est pas "utile" pour apprécier la nouvelle série qui va débuter en Janvier.:-)

As-tu vu le pilote de BSG? La saison 1 s'améliore au fil du temps et les saisons 2 et 3 sont très bonnes.

J'espère que Caprica sera à la hauteur de BSG. Ce pilote m'a mis l'eau à la bouche et me fait espérer le meilleur(je suis conquise par le personnage de Daniel!)mais aussi craindre un peu le pire(toute la partie concernant les ados et la nouvelle religion monothéiste).

Bon demain, c'est la rentrée...
