My favourite doll

I found, via
syndicated , this interview of the actor playing Victor on Dollhouse.
I guess that the show has grown on me for I missed it last week and I look forward to watching the new episode.
There was no Lost this week and I've been feeling tv show deprived even though I watched of course the first episode of the second season of Ashes to ashes.
I don't have much to say about it, not sure about the Super Mac' stuff –it looks like a rehash of Life on Mars season 2 (the episode with that adorable ending scene between Sam and Gene) – but the Gene Genie is back so I'm satisfied. And he was so moved by that poor Manchester gal...because she was from Hyde like Sam!
I liked the Princess Margaret thing (she was such a naughty girl in the 80's), the Molly show and that Alex talked back to the human talking dog until Gene told her to stop frigthening the dog!
I'm still pretty convinced that Alex is not in the same situation as Sam Tyler was in LoM, and that she is just imagining the bullet-induced coma. I think she is either Sam's new alter ego, and her whole pre-80's background is a figment of his imagination, or , and it's more likely, Alex is real but in some catatonic state, taking refuge in the Gene Hunt's world she read about because it's better than facing reality.

Date: 2009-04-30 06:46 am (UTC)I finally got around to watching Ashes to Ashes last night - only the first episode, but it's a start.
I was a little surprised how much I enjoyed meeting the characters (and the 80s) again. Your theory about there being no bullet sounds good - I'm going for catatonic state rather than a new Sam persona. I quite like the SuperMac - is he bent or isn't he - angle even though it's an old hat, because it shows that it's still about 'honest coppers'. Not too sure about the Diana stuff though... I wasn't too impressed when Spooks did it (though I can't remember what their explanation was) and I don't see the connection to Alex' present life.

(Princess? I don't remember that, but then I must confess that my memory of the whole of LoM and AtA is sketchy.)
