All about Gaeta

Some gentle soul uploaded the first webisode on youtube so I could watch it.
So after all the speculations about Gaeta's sexuality (and the gay echoes in both "Felix" and "Gaeta") they show him kissing a man. Well...it was sweet and kinda anti-climatic, but probably the best way to confirm his leanings. I noticed that the two men didn't really try to hide themselves, while they were very close to the CIC and anyone could have walked on them, not like Boomer and Tyrol used to...so looks like that the rules have changed on the fleet, regarding relationships between officers. On the other hand it makes sense that Felix, came out for us...I mean, coming out was the cool thing to do in that half-season time, and after Tigh, Tyrol and Anders came out as Cylons, homosexuality was a non-event.
Speaking of Saul...I can't believe he's still the X.O! I know that Lee granted the Four a pardon, and that they could stay on the fleet if they wanted to...and I am not surprised that Saul's wish was to remain on the Galactica, but he was a mess at the end of "Revelation". It would make sense for Helo to be XO again. I know that Athena forms a precedent, but she won her wings and didn't lie for months. One minute Saul is about to be airlocked by Lee and the next he's second in command again?
Did something happen in the 6 days (9-3) that followed the arrival on the devastated Earth? Something that helped Saul to win his place back? Anyway he seemed in great shape. I love my Tigh.
But the most interesting thing was the third scene when Gaeta walked towards the shuttle, with his artificial leg, talked to Brooks and tried to ignore the Eight that seemed so concerned about him. Either the Eight knows something about Gaeta, and is intrigued by him, or the two of them have a history. I'm beginning to guess that it might be connected to the famous scene with Baltar when Gaius whispered something to his ear and Felix got mad and try to kill him in season 3. At the time many viewers thought that Baltar and Felix might have had an affair on New Caprica, because Felix had such a crush on Gaius in earlier seasons, but now it seems quite unlikely. I think that Felix had an affair with one of the Eights then and Gaius knew it. It makes perfect sense now. Gaeta didn't want to be considered a traitor in season 3, remember that he was almost killed by Starbuck and her merry band, and having been intimate with a skinjob on New Caprica would have looked pretty badly. Nobody knew but Baltar; it was a secret to keep buried for good, so when Baltar threatened to spill the beans, Felix saw red. I guess that he's now annoyed to see the Eight in question (how did he recognise her?), given that he's in a relationship with Hoshi. Also it might remind him of his time on New Caprica and his lie about Baltar during the trial. It's very interesting! Felix must be so conflicted.
Also I really liked the shot on the artifical leg. Now Felix looks like a Cylon much more than the skinjobs do. I'm pretty sure it's a red herring and that he is NOT the Fifth, precisely because of that shot.
I think that Felix and his Centurion leg are concealing an Eight, but that Eight isn't the one we see on the webisode, even though she wears the same face. So yes I'm sticking to my theory about Boomer as the Fifth.
