If it hadn't been for sweaty Helo I would have been bored!

BSG seems to have lost its soul these days.

I was underwhelmed by "A Road less Travelled". Could be because I didn't understand all the dialogues. Really I wish they would stop whispering and they would articulate. I need to watch it again for I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff.

Captain Agathon was very handsome (especially in the scene he tells his wife his has no choice) and down to Earth (pun intended), and I'm glad that there's at least one Leoben alive for he's pretty too...the rest of the episode seemed just so slow and....well, not necessary.

Gaius' sect makes me think of the Manson family...Tory is freakish. There was one shot of Baltar looking at her sideways during the sex scene in which I found James Callis very attractive.

Yeah the writing was less impressive than the eye candies...I will keep watching the show whatever they write if they put on screen Helo, Leoben and Baltar !

Of course the writing wasn't really crappy, there was the obvious mirror between the Demetrius and the Galactica; between two visionary leaders that believed to have been chosen, Kara Thrace and Gaius Baltar; between two human/cylon alliances, that is Kara/Leoben and Gaius/Tyrol.

I also noticed that Gaius' words to Tyrol, concerning human beings, echoed exactly what the credits used to say about the Cylons in the previous seasons: we(they)'ve changed, we(they)'ve evolved !

I prefered Tyrol when he had hair on his head. His face is too baby-like to go hairless IMO. Also the fact that he had to turn the radio back on for Nicky made me smile...Nice detail.

I wonder if the mutiny against Kara foreshadows a similar situation on the Galactica. I kinda expect the Final Four to split up too.

But at the end of the day, I think that the whole Demetrius arc isn't about Starbuck's journey. It's all about sorting Helo's office out. Adama couldn't have two XOs on the Battlestat Galactica so he set another ship to keep Karl Agathon as XO.

At least I got to see sweaty Helo. I'm sure Gaeta liked it too ;- )

I have to agree that sweaty!Helo was the best thing about this episode. ;-) The last two episodes haven't done much for me. Although I enjoy Baltar immensely, I'm not sure the whole religion angle is something they're going to be able to pull off with any sort of finesse. We shall see. I did like Baltar's conversation with Tyrol when he finally spoke to him as a human being and the Chief responded with an outstretched hand. Although I'm still not convinced that Baltar's redemption is authentic, it was a nice moment.

Yeah the religious stuff is heavy. Let's hope they do it on purpose.

Helo rocks! ;- )

I watch BSG with English subtitles - you can find them here

and I enjoyed the episode a lot. Mostly because I always enjoyed Kara\Leoben and this episode looks like a set-up for their reluctant alliance in the next episode (hopefully).

I loved that Sharon was the most anti-Leoben member of Demetrius crew. It's a very sharp detail, very true of a defector's psychology.

As to Baltar's cult - it's interesting that so far the majority of his followers are female. I can't find the explanation but find it curious.
