I re-watched The Untouchables again. I just can't help it, every time it's on tv I have to watch it...Once upon a time Kevin Costner was on a good movie, wasn't bad at acting and had those beautiful green eyes. He was so touching when Sean Connery died in his arms. *sniff*

Also the finale of Lost was on tv tonight, dubbed in French of course...

When Naomi told Jack that he should know how to use her phone in case something would happen to her...Was it only a so-not-subtle foreshadowing of her death?

What of Naomi knew she wasn't going to make it, what if Jack was the one who was supposed to make the phone call anyway? Just like Charlie was supposed to die...

Also the fact that Naomi seemed to speak so many languages when Desmond, Charlie, Jin and Hurley found her...there's a clue there. It reminded me of Rousseau's multilingual message from the tower. I think it isn't a coincidence there's a mirror thingy going on. No wonder that the Looking Glass station blocked both Rousseau's recording and Naomi's radio! When Naomi was still uncouscious, she spoke several random languages as if she wasn't on the right radio frequency yet! Perhaps Naomi is a sort of programm...

Speaking of mirrors. As Ben is told that it was Karl who warned the guys on the beach, he realises that Alex, his daughter, betrayed him and wecan  see him looking at her from his tent. She betrayed her dad (no matter if he is not her biological father, he raised her) and his people just like himself betrayed his father and Dharma a long time ago. Then Ben tells her he's going to give her to her new family. In a way he got adopted by Richard's people too and gave himself to a new family and found a new father, his true father....Jacob (in the Bible, Benjamin is Jacob's son).

It's a recurring theme on Lost, the children causing the death of their parents while replicating their sins, we saw it through Kate, through Sawyer, but also through Locke who has left the Beach family for the Others family and has become a liar and manipulated James Ford into killing the true Sawyer (a "double" parricide echoed by Ben's own murder), and through Jack who's become an addict like Christian, same Christian whom he betrayed by exposing his behaviour.

Different characters but always the same story...

ETA: Also the radio-phone was so The Matrix-like! It can't be a coincidence!

I do like The Untouchables, and Kevin Costner used to be a favorite actor. Can't say I like much of his more recent stuff, though.

Was not Jack's addiction in a future which may not come to exist?

And I cannot come to think what it was that Locke lied about? I honestly thing Locke has a lot to do with uncovering the secrets of the island and we may have him speaking more with Jacob. Someone is out to get the island's secrets. And it appears that Desmond's girlfriend, Penny, may know - or her father may know of the island since his company's logo (Widmore Corp) has been on some items that were in the late hatch and Alvar Hanso was once on the board of the Widmore Group/Corp.

Locke lied to Sawyer. Told him he was spying on the Others and that he had aducted Ben etc...and of course afterwards he lied to Ben when he said *he* had killed his father. He called Ben a liar but he had become a liar himself.

I'm still wondering who Richard-who-doesn't-age may be...

Oh yeah.....

I tend to look upon Locke as on his own journey. His lies are less lies but strategies which he is forced by the consequences to enforce. I think he really does have a major part to play, yeah, leading "The Others." I get this feeling that like Moses, Locke will not see the "holy land" into which he is leading "The Others."
