Americans have wasps and we have bees!

Sorry for the bad pun...

After Bayrou's here are the other B's posters as promised.

Besancenot is our youngest candidate. He was already candidate in 2002 and created the surprise then. He's a postman and he belongs to a political group that is called LCR (Ligue Communiste Révolutionnaire) which is a Trotskyist party.

José Bové is an interesting case. He became famous a few years ago as a farmer union man when he took down a McDonald's restaurant, denounced un-healthy eating and destroyed a GMO field. WTO people know him well and fear his actions. He got  a lot of media coverage and becaus eof his moustache got to be compared to Asterix Le Gaulois resisting against The Pax Romana (in Bové's case it's The Pax Americana).

He doesn't belong to any party but is left-wing and is campaining on his name only, on his fame as an anti-economic deregulation guy. He wants an alternative globalization.

Interesting that these two candidates are in casual clothing. I agree the second one looks like Asterix! LOL! He's also the only one so far to have a great deal of information on the poster stressing the importance of the future of the planet.

I don't think I can say much about the first candidate - there's so little information - is he relying on his good looks?

Indeed!

Bové is someone who claims to be different, out of the system, a lay person from what we call "la société civile", a bit like Lech Walesa was in Poland, so he has to show it through his outfit.

For Besancenot it's even blue jean...which makes sense. Let's not forget that jeans used to be for workers to begin. As a Trotskyst he's supposed to defend the workers. It is also something that point out his youth.

His poster is a weird mixing, old-fashioned and "young" at once.

is he relying on his good looks?

Good question! Could be...

Hey, these are interesting. I'm glad you're posting these.

For someone who usually hates politics, I find myself becoming so frustrated and fed up with the extremists American politics that I'm becoming more vocal.
