I watched Crossroad Part II before going to bed yesterday. What a finale!  In case you wonder I don't regret that I read spoilers before seeing it.

Yes I was "spoiled" but honestly even though I hadn't been I wouldn't have been surprised by the revelation about Anders, Tory, Tigh and Tyrol being the four Cylons. Part I gave us enough clues to figure it out. The heads of resistance turned out to be cylons. They were Cylons yet there were the Cylons' worst enemies. It's a reversed situation of betrayal compared to Boomer in season 1. It fits the theme of "we are our worst enemy", no matter what we are, human or cylons. Both species are in the same boat and the writers keep showing the reflections and parallels.

I knew that Lee's speech in the courtroom would be make the defense's case, that he would be the "voice of reason" and would convince Adama to vote "non guilty" but seeing Bamber's acting was so different. So no spoilers didn't spoil me about that either. The only spoiler that kind of ruined a certain surprise was the one about Kara. I knew that Lee would see her. I guess that many unspoiled viewers were really surprised because they didn't expect her return that soon!

I knew that Gaeta would lie and perjure himself but what was really great was Gaius' reaction afterwards and his "Oh Felix, oh Felix". I loved the fact he called him Felix invoking some kind of intimacy. Naughty naughty Gaeta...

Sam and Tory were hot together. They do have chemistry!

As for Kara's appearance. It wasn't clear in the spoiler whether she came back for real or was just a vision. I find that the way the scene was filmed saved the ambiguity for  what we saw Lee experiencing in the cloud echoed what happened to Starbuck in "Maelstrom" when she was chasing a phantom raptor.

My favourite scene/shot was Tigh trying to find the source of the song in the ship and therefore hugging the wall !

My favourite line of the episode was "sabotage...with music" by Bill Adama. I think that line sums up the whole episode in many ways. I so loved the fact that the episode was mostly based on irony and that its tone was very ironical.

Another line I loved was Romo telling Baltar that he would land on his feet even though he said that he hated using a cat metaphor! The cat started as a diversion, a trick he used, a prop he had and ended up as a metaphor! The cat's disappearance in Part II foreshadowed Romo's final exit as he left behind him his last prop: the stick he actually didn't need to walk. The way he and Lee looked at each other, before he put back his spectacles on, was very slash-y !

Oh and I also loved Baltar's line "so now because we're winning we're losing actually" . And I loved it when he told Lee he would get back to his life after the trial and then turned to Romo and said "you get back to...wherever you get back to" ! It was like he was commenting on the writing (because the writers did pull Romo out of a hat!)  and Romo's look was priceless. Heehee!

The irony was also that Romo didn't do much in the courtroom, he didn't turn out to be a brilliant defense counsellor, shaking everybody with his strategy and rhetorical skills, he slimpy put Lee on the stand,  in a situation where he had to talk. Lee made his case and Romo watched. We could tell that Romo Lampkin as a lawyer was mostly a deception, a mere sham!

By the way I noticed a portrait in the room (Lee's room?) where Lee, Romo and Gaius were gathered before the last session. The portrait was behind Romo, in the background but was lit up by a lamp. It's difficult to distinguish but it isn't a man and she isn't blonde so I'm pretty sure it was a portrait of Madame President which would be of course quite ironical.

Another scene I enjoyed was the last shot of Baltar being literaly put under a blanket !!!! Not only it reinforced his Jesus look and suited the Messiah/God theme that his followers/abductors have started since Part I, but also it echoed Lee's speech and the idea that Baltar simply deserved the same amnisty, the blanket pardon that Roslin had granted. Irony, irony, irony!

The taste of irony was bitter for Baltar after he was found non guilty, more alone than he ever was, even on the Cylon baseship!

By the way when Bill Adama told Laura that it wasn't about forgetting but about forgiving I couldn't help thinking of BTVS and Giles' speech in season 2, I almost expected him to show up and explain to Roslin that we don't forgive someone because they deserve it but because they need it.

The irony was also that Saul who provoked Helo in "The Woman King" is now in Sharon's shoes, singing her song (pun intended) and basically saying that he can choose what he wants to be!

I also found it quite ironical that Hera was again shown as special in the dreams while the episode proved that she was no longer unique. Tyrol's son is also half-Cylon!

The ending musical scene was perfect, quite psychedelic ! As if they were having a very good (or is it bad) trip!!!!!
