First impressions
Jun. 25th, 2005 10:33 pmSo I've just seen the pilote and the second episode of Lost.
Here's a few thoughts.
Well I wasn't impressed by Part 1 of the first episode, I was even kinda disappointed. The Jack/Kate thing annoyed me (Did they have to look like models?) and there was that feeling of déjà-vu...I expected something more refreshing, more creative. I guess that Buffy ruined me for other shows. LOL
Well not quite, because I was hooked on Tip/Tuck. But let's back to Lost.
Of course there was the intriguing Asian couple, the bald man and also.....the dog watching them( a Benji-like shot but I loved it!)!
Part 2 was better. Kate's character became interesting. The old man/kid backgammon scene made me want to know more...the message thingy that had been running for 16 years was a good twist (I'm pretty sure this has already been used on a movie before though) and that Sawyer guy has charisma!
pfeifferpack , if you read this, I am not surprise that he's one of your fav! *wink* He definitely has a bad boypotential and sex-appeal (and pretty lips). I like Sayid too, even though it's always weird when they cast an Indian actor to play an Arab (I know that Ben Kingsley did it before).
Is it me or Shannon kinda looks like Anya?
Episode 2...Kate isn't ambiguous enough IMO. You can see that deep down she's a good person. I hope I'm wrong but I bet she's going to shag Sawyer but fall in love with Jack...*rolls eyes*
Hey the dog is back thanks to the bald man!!!
I don't know to which extent I can trust the French dubbing but Jack said that they died 3 days ago and should have a fresh start...Mmmm...Was that a clue?

I just like the twists and turns, the weirdness factor (just wait till you see Hurley's story!), and the entire mystery about just what the "Lost world" is about. And yes, that sounds a lot like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle-ish; but this "reality" appears even weirder than that!
