Help !

[profile] frances_lievens and I are making a LJ community to fit my idea of a Salon in which we could discuss everything, like they did in the 18th Century.

I'll keep this LJ as an interface between my LJ friends and me and for fandom stuff, but the community will be devoted to films reviews, tv reviews, book reviews, art and discussions on everything philosophical or sociological, or meta etc...

I hope the community will be operational from Wednesday on, but neither she nor I are very versed in computery stuff (ok she's far better than me, she's doing the customizing !) so we could use some help from LJ users who have mastered html, artwork etc...

For instance we'd need an icon for the community, an icon that would suit the idea of a Salon. A header perhaps too?

If anyone could help, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hey Sharl, you have to check:

This has to be the funniest product site ever. (http://shaveeverywhere.com/)

Don't forget to turn the sound on!

LMAO! I've never seen the website for that, but I've seen the product. It works! I, uh, know a couple guys who use it...if you know what I mean. ;-)

Now you've got me to thinking....

I've had a few people ask me about how men can get rid of hairy places without waxing. I think I might link this on the links section of my LJ. Right after the brazilian wax link. :D

I had a similar discussion on Friday afternoon in the teachers room (can you tell it was the end of the school year!)and have been told that being hairless is now out of fashion in gay Paris !

The world is going to be divided between the countries of hairy men (even the gay ones) and the others.

See, this totally could become a dicussion in our Salon, under the coffeetable-discussion tag.

Speaking of your LJ, have you heard of that controversy about how LiveJournal.com has banned a photo of a baby breastfeeding as a default icon on grounds that it constitutes an indecent sexual display?

It's over at http://community.livejournal.com/boob_nazis/1746937.html

I cannot believe that!

Shit, I'm sunk.
