Catching up wih tv

Winter is there. I watched the 2 last episodes of Nip/Tuck to warm me up . Is it only me or is Christian getting more and more gorgeous?

What's your real family, the one you belong to?  Is it a matter of genes? Of look? Tommy Bolton's case set the question. The episode was moving. Sean was trying to fulfill his professional life and to fill his empty house, ending up in his bed with a surrogate family, and thus doing exactly what he wasn't suposed to do as a FBI surgeon. Blonde Nicole looked like a clone of Julia and her son was the innocent and loving child that Matt wasn't anymore. It's like he made up a new family for himself thanks to his bistoury. Poor Sean.

Christian was touching in his attempt to be a part of his mother's life, to find a family of his at last...after years of borrowing Sean's one. I really liked the scene in which he was trying to make a family album. What was the first picture he put on? Sean's of course! Poor Kimber...

The tango scene was pretty funny. I still don't like Quentin (his eyes and lower lip are just a turn off) and I think that Julia and he definitely belong to each other!

The second episode was weaker but at least Sean and Christian were reunited  thanks for Quentin's cocaine abuse. Sean is so lost, he behaved with Nikki  like Matt did with Ava actually. Ready to burn his 'ships (did you see that pun?!), but his surgeon's fingers saved him in a way. His identity was definitely on his fingertips.

I see an interesting parallel between Sean and Christian in that episode. Both seemed to expect/want to lose the girl with whom they had decided to stick. Sean had that weird fantasy about the killer coming to end Nikki at his house, and I'm pretty sure that Christian wished that Kimber would not give up porn. It was as if they couldn't make up their mind, or rather they couldn't make the decision of breaking-up. Making that decision would have been a failure I guess. Nikki left and Kimber stayed. Good for Sean, not so good for Christian...Sometimes when transplant has not taken it's for the best.
