I haven't watched any of these programmes, however Herself has talked me into investing in Firefly, which I ordered yesterday, and I'll watch that because she believes it's the best Joss Whedon work to date.
I think you summed up, in one sentence why I avoid watching Jm in anything new, James is so small on screen without Spike.
I want my image of him to stay alive in my mind so I only keep BtVS, AtS and fanfiction in there. Now, if ever a Spike movie became reality, I'd be there.
