I watched 2 episodes of The Shield on Wednesday and I've just watched the 6th episode of Nip/Tuck season 3...

The first episode (208) showed the end of Armadillo. Could have been the end of Vic Mackey too, but Shane and Lemonhead saved the day. Claudette annoyed me a bit, she so wanted to bring Vic down during her interview with Corrine. Of course she was right when she said that what happened to Donnie was Vic's fault, but still...The thing I prefered in that episode was the ending, when Vic went back to his hotel room and the blonde woman from the shelter was still there waiting for him. The way he threw her onto the bed was so far from your usual tv cliché! And it was so The Shield!
The second episode (209) could have been the first of the series, since it was a flash-back taking place 14 months ago when the Barn opened. I think it was kinda neat that they showed it in the second half of season 2. There's nothing more painful than to see a posteriori what the people were, how they used to think, what they aimed at...what they could have become if only. But it's too late, we already know what happened to everybody (Vic, Gilroy, Connie, Donnie, Corrine...). It was like getting glimpses of their lost innocence (and ours!) for a little while.

I don't know what to think of that episode. As usual it was over the top, gory even with the corpses and the Frankenstein-ish surgery, but without the interesting stuff. First I was glad to see Gina again, but I am not sure I liked the women team that Liz joined finally. Besides it's hard to enjoy an episode with lots of Julia on screen! I didn't like Sean much on that episode either. It would have been nice if his little epiphany about how wrong he was for promoting plastic surgery to the old people and performing the face-lift on the old woman, hadn't taken place after Julia told him she didn't want him on her side anymore. Sometimes I think that Sean and Julia really deserve each other.

Am I the only one thinking that Quentin leaving would have made more sense than Liz's resignation?
