I didn't want to celebrate my birthday (I think I'll be more willing to celebrate the 50th), honest, but somehow "some people" lured me into doing something to acknowledge this 23rd of July, so I'm having guests tomorrow evening. It isn't  a big party as many friends are already on holidays away from Paris, but there will be booze, food, wine, champagne and a cake.

I'm also having lunch with my mother, in the suburb (she wanted to go to the restaurant!), so it's likely that I'm going to be sick on Sunday!
