I didn't miss it but I didn't see it as "a problem" so I didn't mention it. To me Ben and his father left the island in the submarine before the bomb was set off, just like Ethan's mother and her baby since Ethan is alive in the altverse. The island and Dharma did exist for the Alt!characters. The incident happened before Rousseau and her team got there so at least the logics is safe concerning Alex and her mother.

I guess that Ben was still shot by Sayid and revived at the temple but doesn't remember anyway. I don't think At!Ben is basically different from the Ben we see on the island, he just never joined Richard's group, never worshipped Jacob!

Yes Ben shouldn't have been shot by Sayid if Sayid had never been on the island, but Juliet shouldn't have triggered the bomb if Sawyer and Jack and the others had never been on the island either...

Either we side with Miles' "what happened happened" and think that the Atlverse arc doesn't make sense at all or we accept it as a mere poetical licence.

So some things happened differently before the bomb was set off over the Swan electromagnetic pocket. Perhaps that action set off ripples in time, changing certain things in people's lives. That might be why Desmond was on the plane and sat by Jack in the Alt!Verse. Desmond is time-travelling following those ripples in time!

Chaos effect? Mmmm...

Anyway I guess that the altverse is not "the final verse", just a temporary diversion. A sort of counterpoint. The main melody happens on the island.
