I saw Ashes to Ashes last night and enjoyed it a lot - lots of great one liners, even in the middle of serious conversations.

Sometimes these silly jokes just delight me.
I'm glad that Gene and Alex are a team again... As to Ray being the Tyler/Tiler or keeper of the door at the Lodge, it's a neat reference to Sam. For a flash I thought Sam Tyler might be Alex' 'keeper of the door', i.e. the person to help her travel between worlds, might even be the person who drugged her. It's a rather wild theory and I kind of doubt that they would use the actor that way.
