As for your hidden text (it's like sympathetic ink!), well Sun had planned to leave him, she didn't but the crash techincally cut the bounds that tied Jin to her father.
Of course I'm pretty sure Jin wanted it too, otherwise he won't eb there.
I've checked, there are 5 episodes left...even if I managed to tape the next 3 ones, I'll miss the finale. *shrugs*
