Waiting for Godot
Jul. 5th, 2012 09:06 amIn this case case Godot is a plumber.
Whan I came back home I found out that the flush was broken -- which means that there is a leak and that the water is running ALL THE FRAKKING TIME! -- and I couldn't get a plumber to come until this morning. He was supposed to be here at 9 am but called to say that he's stuck in traffic jam, so I'm waiting...
O the joy of living in a big city.
Yesterday, on the 4th of July, I spent the evening with an American diva: I saw Renée Fleming singing Arabella at the opera Bastille. She was excellent, and so were all the other singers. And of course Philippe Jordan was his usal awesomness when conducting the orchestra.
On Tuesday evening I was out for a dinner with my colleagues. It was nice despite my being exhausted, and I went to bed at 1 am. Needless to say that I haven't recovered yet.
I just wanted to rest this week, but looks like I can't.
