Actually, I was waiting to see what your opinion was, just to see if it was a gender thing. *switching to French because I can't find the words in English* Ni ma mère ni moi n'avons apprécié sa photo, parce qu'elle nous paraît beaucoup trop glamour. Pour moi, cela revient à dire "Elisez-moi parce que je suis une femme". Et je ne suis pas dans cette optique là. Je vote d'abord pour un programme, ensuite pour la personne qui en est le ou la porte-parole, parce que c'est aussi important. Mais le sexe de la personne pour qui je vote m'est totalement indifférent. Je suis consciente que ma réaction à cette photo est sans doute exagérée, en même temps, c'est la seule fois depuis le début de la campagne que quelque chose suscite mon intérêt à ce point.
The thing with Sarkozy's poster is that it's bland. Totally generic. Coming from such a controversial man, is is both surprising and not. He is choosing not to draw too much attention to him. I agree when you say he's trying to make people forget how dangerous (I don't like this word, because even though I'm not a fan anymore, I still think he could do some great things as a President. My problem comes from the very bad things he would do at the same time) he could potentially be. He makes me thing about an alligator, waiting just under the surface to chew a limb away.
