I just checked the transcript of the Iraq episode, "One of Them":

[We see Sayid, handcuffed, being taken by two soldiers to see Joe Inman, apparently a CIA operative.]

Looks like "Inman" is really his name. Funny!

Desmond did not call him Joe though...
