In advance
Everything is ready for the apéritif (nothing fancy I only made little canapés with smoked salmon and foie gras to eat with a glass of champagne) and I will cook the langoustes (spiny lobsters?) later but it's going to be a very quiet Christmas Eve for me, not a true Réveillon, as I'm not well -- I hope it isn't the flu but the symptoms are quite flu-like( I feel drained and aching everywhere)-- so I don't think I'm going to make it to midnight.
